Audiologist, Licensed Hearing Aid Specialist

Joanne has lived in Floyd for over sixteen years. She has over twenty years of clinical experience in hearing evaluations, vestibular (balance) disorders, hearing loss prevention, and treatment of hearing loss.

Joanne has worked with all ages in hospitals, ENT clinics, university clinics, audiology clinics, military air wing bases, aircraft carriers, assisted living and nursing homes.

Regina D. Talbert, M.A.

Clinical Audiologist

Regina Talbert has been practicing Audiology for over 30 years and she has been with New River Valley Hearing for 2 years. She completed her audiological training through the Medical College of Virginia Externship and completed her Clinical Fellowship at The Ear Center of Greensboro. She has worked in a variety of settings including a hospital and private practices. Regina became interested in the field of audiology when her son was a toddler and had regular ear infections. She made many visits to the audiology and ENT clinic where her interest grew from there. Now, she enjoys enabling hearing impaired patients to hear sounds that they have been unable to hear.

Regina enjoys reading, fishing, bicycling, gardening, and spending time with her friends and family.

Kaylynn Oliver, C-AA

Audiology Assistant

Kaylynn has been with our team since 2019 and has a background in retail and manufacturing. She began as a front desk employee but quickly fell in love with hearing healthcare and has continued her education and training to become an Audiology Assistant. She has an associate degree in Applied Science in Accounting, is certified through the American Speech Hearing Association, and is certified in adult CPR and First Aid. Working at New River Valley Hearing provides Kaylynn with the opportunity to learn something new every day. She is continuously growing her knowledge and experience in the hearing field. Working for a practice that truly puts the patients first and will go out of its way to assist a patient in need is greatly important to her.

Kaylynn enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and friends, as well as RV camping, baking, gardening, and DIY projects.

Casey Dillon

Audiology Assistant

Casey has been with our team since 2015 as she’s finished her education. She has a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Radford University and a Master of Music Theory from Ball State University. She is CPR certified and is currently working on her ASHA certification. Before returning to New River Valley Hearing, she taught in a k-12 setting as a band teacher. Casey’s mom is an audiologist. Originally, she worked at the front desk in the summers while she was a student and every year, she’d learn more about the hearing industry. She enjoys learning about hearing technology and helping patients hear the world around them.

Casey loves being outside, whether that’s walking her dog in the park, going on trails, or hiking in the mountains. She also enjoys gardening vegetables as well as growing tropical house plants. She loves music and plays the saxophone or bagpipes anytime she gets the chance.

Sharra Shores

Office Assistant

Sharra is our knowledgeable Office Assistant. She has over 25 years of experience in customer service/retail and over 8 years of experience as a Companion/Aid. She has completed Business courses at Radford and CNA classes in Raleigh, NC. She transitioned into the field of audiology because she wanted to learn more about how hearing loss can impact your daily life. Sharra is a hearing aid wearer herself, so she can understand the impact hearing loss has had on her own life. She loves learning about the innovativeness of the hearing industry.

Sharra loves being around nature and her garden. She also enjoys sewing, reading, and working on home projects.

Brittany Moore

Patient Care Coordinator

Brittany is our knowledgeable Patient Care Coordinator. She has an associate degree in business administration, valuable experience in both orthopedic and family medicine, and she is a trained lab tech. She schedules patients, handles referrals, checks our patients in and out for appointments, and helps maintain our practice. Brittany has always been drawn to the healthcare industry and now, she enjoys being able to watch people go from being unable to hear to hearing again.

Brittany is a mom of two girls, a bonus daughter, and three dogs. When not on the softball field she enjoys going to car and truck shows and being outdoors, especially near the water.
