What to Expect at Your First Appointment
Our testing process is personalized to you and can take up to an hour (sometimes longer) for us to fully understand the degree of your hearing loss and how it is effecting you. We want to ensure you are getting the care you deserve, so we will dedicate our time to helping you.
- We will begin by going over your entire intake form with you and asking you questions about what brought you in, what sounds you’re having trouble hearing, and your family history. This will be a conversation so we can get to know you.
- Then we will explain the hearing evaluation so you know exactly what to expect as well as what and why we are testing.
- We will perform a full hearing evaluation, first looking at your outer, middle, and inner ear. Then we will start the hearing portion of the test and end with speech testing to determine if your hearing has effected your speech comprehension.
- After your test, we will go over your results in detail and give you enough time to process and ask questions.
